Victorian and Art Nouveau
This collection of designs has been inspired by the glorious
plethora of wallpapers produced in the 19th century, particularly
those in Kinlochmoidart House in Scotland.
These wallpapers were commissioned by the architects Simpson
and Brown to reproduce the hand printed wallpapers originally
chosen by William Leiper, the Glasgow School architect who
designed the house for Robert Stewart in the 1880's.
Kinlochmoidart is a rare example of a Scottish baronial mansion
set in a rugged landscape at the head of Loch Moidart. The
interiors and furnishings remain virtually unchanged since
the day the house was completed.
