Higgins Art Gallery
Founded in 1949, the Cecil Higgins Art Gallery houses one
of the best collections of fine and decorative arts. Contains
'The Victorian Mansion', a recreation of an 1880s home with
superb examples of 19th century decorative arts,
including the world famous 'Gothic Room' containing works
by William Burges. Their drawings and prints collection shows
works by Edward Burne-Jones.
Location
Castle Lane is just off The Embankment or St. Mary's Street,
in the center of Bedford.
Opening Times
Tuesday to Saturday, 11am to 5pm, Sundays and Bank holidays,
2 ø 5 pm, Closed Mondays, Good Friday, 25th and
26th December.
Admission Charge
Adults £2.10, concessions and children free. Free on Fridays
and after 4pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.
